Traveling through the flood

The on going flood situation in Thailand finally reached Bangkok toward the end of October. It has caused many families to move and spread around Thailand to find a warm and dry place. My mom and I also did so by going to Phuket, her home town. Unfortunately my dad couldn't come because he needs to take care of the business in Bangkok. Luckily, my house and my family business was not affected by the flood because we live in the inner part of the city. After returning to Phuket I also have a chance to go to a business trip with my dad to Singapore and learn more about my father's business. The trip has motivates me into learning by myself not just by using the internet but by reading as well.
The disaster in Thailand may lead to more than a year long of renovation in many industry estates and highly damaged areas like the areas around the airport. Other than that, the country may have to challenge itself against a food shortage from rice and other crops. Some fruits will also take at least 5 years to grow back and will have to be imported from other countries with a highly charged price due to the limited supply. People who are affected by the flood will need time to fix their houses and their companies. There will also be a decrease on number of tourists because the flood might increase the possibilities of tourists getting diseases. Thailand might also have a problem with clean water for a short term because they need time to get the flood water out of the filtration system.
As a member of this community, I feel that we must help other people that are in need of our service even though we're still young. I believe that Thailand needs to help each other to get through this problem in order for the economy in Thailand to start growing again. We can help by donating money to help flood victims. I think that we should keep in mind that every little bit counts and that we need to help each other as much as possible to form a strong community. The best way that RIS students like us can help is to donate money to help them. We can start a campaign for RIS students to donate money so that we can send it to people in need, such as people in the province of Ayutaya. In order for us to pass this test of nature we must stand united and strong with a kind heart and helping spirits.

The "Who Am I" project video, allows me to be able to reveal my identity which is really different from my other works. In this video, I put the categories of things that have or had influences me to be who I am today. In general I am a person with moral well carved inside me by my family and religion. I am a brash and dependable by my peers. One bad habit about me that was not stated in the video is that I like to do things in a hastiness way which always decreased the quality of my work. Even though I am hot headed, I always listen to other people's reasons.

Though I am an independent learner and always love to learn, my family, peers, and school have major impacts on my identity. With morals well carved though out my childhood, I am able to create my own moral compass and imply it to my everyday life. My peers are the people that have influences me most in the pass few years. They have taught me various things in computer usage and have shaped who I am today by teaching and helping me at school and at home. All the categories in the worksheet had at least an impact on me and my identity, but the categories in my video are the 6 things that have impacted me most.

In conclusion, I think that this project is very unique. It helps me think about who I am today and what have impacted me in the past. In my opinion, it would be more convenient for me if we can use any pictures without putting the license in, and any music that we want to. I had difficulties on how my music, pictures, and meaning fits. In General, this project has been both fun and stressful, and I look forward to another project as interesting as this.

               Thank you,

birmingham grid

On the first week of school, we as a class, had the opportunity to work on this chart. It is the Birmingham Gird that shows us what ways we learn best. I agree with this chart. This diagram have shown that I do not enjoy learning with text and it is true. Learning with texts and writing essays have always been challenging for me. On the other hand, I am strong in mathematics and this chart has shown it. I also enjoy helping my friends at school and at home on whatever they have in mind. I can also think better when I move around. In general I think that this chart is not only accurate but it helps me find out the best way for me to learn.
